hotel discount, last minute travel deals A few weeks ago, I took 6 days off to go up the Pacific Northwest to visit friends and family. After being there for only two days my long time friend threw up the idea of driving down to Portland, Oregon for a night and next day in the awesome city. This has always been one of my favorite cities in the Northwest for it’s great food, nightlife, eclectic mix of people and shops and now that I’m over 21, beer. There are some serious brewers in Portland.

Searching last minute travel deals on a few different sites we actually had a few hotel discounts to choose from. We literally found a hotel discount hours before leaving on the 2.5 hour road trip to Portland. When we got to the hotel, they offered us a higher then advertised rate but quickly dropped it after we showed them what some hotel discount site was offering. It turned out to be an awesome day and a half, rain and all. Beer lovers have to check this place out. There is something for everyone plus the tram system makes getting around downtown cheap and easy.
