last minute travel deals, hotel discountI love last minute travel deals. Sometimes it's good to plan travel way ahead of time, but spontaneous trips away for the weekend have great appeal for me. Hoping on a plane for a completely different environment for a few days by finding last minute travel deals is a fantastic way for us to recharge our batteries while saving money on the cost of travel. Finding a hotel discount really helps, as does  finding reduced airfares. My cousin is an incredible deal finder and when I'm looking for last minute travel deals, I'll often call her and tell her what we want to do, and let her sleuth out the deals for us. She has raised bargain hunting to an art form, and has saved us tons of money. Her first response when we tell her that we want to go somewhere for a few days on the cheap is to come visit her, but I suspect she is just being polite. We see her four or five times a year, which is enough. We don't want to wear out her hospitality.
