One fine way to vacation and mountains is to stay at a travel lodge. A travel lodge is usually located in beautiful surroundings and offers luxurious accommodations in a rustic setting.   Typically a travel lodge has full service restaurants, a fireplace in or near the lobby where lodge guests can gather to read the newspaper, magazines, or local newspapers.  

Some of the travel lodges have a few private cabins with small kitchens, fireplaces, balconies, or decks. A travel lodge that offers private cabins usually charges more for the cabins than the rooms.   The beauty of the cabins is that you can enjoy a much more privacy and space as well as the luxury of being able to either cook your own meals, or eat at the full service restaurant.
